Forbes: Europe prefers sports and casual gaming over shooters!

By: Emma Boyes, Tom Magrino GameSpot UK

To make evidence to this Forbes sites research from the International Development Group, which claims that Halo 3 only sold 900,000 units. While in the U. S. it was the number one selling game in 2007, selling 4.8 million units. As for Europe Nintendo's Brain Age game was a top seller followed by the well known soccer sim FIFA 2008, which both games sold over 2 million copies. Europeans seem to prefer theses games because of their great use on public transportation on the way to their jobs.

Ratings

No more game ratings from the ESRB:

By: Karn Bianco

That's right the ESRB will have to take a step back on the game ratings. Next-Gen.biz received a memo forwarded by a publisher stating, "new policy that will crack down on early reveals of unreleased games on the [ESRB's] website." Basically this new policy will allow publisher's to update their ratings to the ESRB's website. The memo does say that this will not work if publishers' capiciously select dates with no concern of the relationship between consumer and product. The ESRB said a reasonable approach to this is whenever the publisher reaches a PR announcment, physical shipping date, or even an online distribution date would be an excellent time to upload the rating for consumers.

Future shops are where they will begin these test first it will conduct these test in six of these Calgary locations. All you Canadians expect this launch to reach the other 133 Future shop locations by late Summer. GameStop is reported to turn quiet a beneficial profit on the sale of these used games, and Future Shop expects large numbers as well. If the program goes well in Canada then U. SanAndreas

GTA: San Andreas Best Selling Game in the US Ever:

By: Verity Burns

Again Forbes comes through with some outstanding information from the NPD Group showed that this title was the best selling game in the US ever, well at least in the last fifteen years of sells. NPD took a look at sales numbers all the way back from 1993, even though all of the best-seller numbers weren't released until 2001. GTA III, and its counter-part Vice City were both on the list, still they were no match for the classic San Andreas! Keep it up RockStar studios.
